Career Services at Round Rock

Career Services serves as a bridge between students' college experience and life after Texas State University. Starting their first year, and continuing beyond graduation, we are here to help students explore who they are, to weigh their options, and to pursue their careers. In addition, we will help them to connect their experiences--whether from the classroom, campus activities, on- or off-campus work, internships, or even graduate school--to their post-graduation goals.

Taking advantage of self-assessment tests is a critical step to understanding your skills, interests, personality traits, values, and how they relate to a particular major or career path. Many of the online assessments, such as Focus2, are 100% free and can be completed electronically. Other assessments, such as the Myers-Briggs Personality Test and the Strong Interest Inventory, may be taken for a small fee and will require an assessment interpretation through a career counselor.
