Texas State University Overview
Texas State University is an emerging research institution located in San Marcos, Texas, between the booming metropolitan areas of Austin and San Antonio. Right off Interstate 35, San Marcos is approximately 30 minutes south of Austin and 45 minutes north of San Antonio.
Texas State students come from 50 states and 62 nations. With a diverse campus community of nearly 52 percent minority students, Texas State is one of the top 20 producers of Hispanic baccalaureate graduates in the nation and is proud to have achieved Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) status in 2011.
