Employers come to Texas State to recruit students and alumni through on-campus recruiting. Using Jobs4Cats, employers post interview schedules, job descriptions, application requirements, hiring timelines and more. Information about which employers are attending job fairs can also be found in Jobs4Cats.
When participating in on-campus recruiting, it’s important that your Jobs4Cats profile is up-to-date and includes your current GPA, major, projected graduation date, email address, etc.
To view schedules for on-campus interviewing, log in to Jobs4Cats
and click on the On Campus Interviewing tab. Click “Search” without entering any criteria to view all interview opportunities. Or, narrow your search by using different criteria such as your major, job category, or position type. Make sure to check back in frequently as employers set up schedules throughout the semester. *Read our no-show and cancellation policy before participating in on-campus recruiting.
There are different types of interview schedules, including:
- Open - If you meet the minimum qualifications, directly sign up for an interview.
- Preselect - If you meet the minimum qualifications, submit your resume and wait for the employer to pre-screen all applicants. You will be notified by email whether you have been selected for an interview according to the timeline posted in the schedule.
- Preselect Continuous - If you meet the minimum qualifications, submit your resume and get notified at any time whether you have been selected for an interview.
To apply for an interview schedule that is either Preselect or Preselect Continuous, you will need to follow the application instructions in the job posting, submitting all required documents according to the timeline specified in the schedule.
If the employer selects you for an interview, you will need to log back into Jobs4Cats to sign up for an interview timeslot. Timeslots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to double check the application instructions within the job posting; some companies require that you also create a profile on their website.

The reason for your cancellation will be documented and you will be required to send an apology letter to the employer and copy the ERC on the email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Your Jobs4Cats privileges will be suspended until the apology letter is sent. If you “no-show” to an interview, your Career Services privileges (including Jobs4Cats) will be suspended until you have met with Norma Guerra Gaier, Director of Career Services.
