What is Student Employee of the Year?
A recognition program for the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who work while attending college.
In order to be eligible for consideration, student employees must have worked a minimum of six months part-time (or three months full-time) during the selection period which is from June in the prior year through May of the current year. Student worker must be nominated by a supervisor.
Student Employee of the Year Awards Dinner
All students nominated will be invited to attend an awards dinner to recognize all of their hard work. Students may be accompanied by their nominator and a guest of their choice. Dinner will be served and awards will be presented. Awards dinner is tentatively scheduled to be held April 9, 2018 at 5:30 pm in the LBJ Ballroom.

National Student Employment Week
April 8-14, 2018
Texas State University Recognition
The Student Employee of the year will receive an award and his or her picture will be displayed on the 4th floor of the LBJ Student Center. The employing department will be recognized with a certificate with the students name on it.
The first, second and third runners up will receive a special award to commemorate the occasion.
To participate in the National Student Employee of the Year Competition, Texas State will recommend our campus winner to the regional Southern Association of Student Employment Administrators (SASEA) competition. The SASEA regional winner will advance to the national competition. The national winner receives a $1,000 cash award from NSEA presented at the “home campus” during National Student Employment Week.
