Choosing a major and finding an internship is an extremely complex—and often scary—process. The PACE career counselors specialize in providing individual and group assistance to freshmen students to help navigate your career path. PACE career counselors can help you:
- Explore your values, interests, goals, skills and personality to evaluate potential educational and career paths
- Gain experience through informational interviews, job shadowing, internships or part-time employment
- Access resources for veterans, international students, students with disabilities and other special populations
Schedule an appointment with a PACE career counselor today by calling 512.245.PACE (7223). Appointments can be made Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Learn more about our counseling services.
Taking advantage of self-assessment tests is a critical step to understanding your skills, interests, personality traits, values, and how they relate to a particular major or career path.
Online assessments like Focus2 are free and can be completed from the comfort of your home or residence hall at any time. You will be asked to complete Focus2 as part of a US 1100 assignment, and the results can be interpreted by a PACE career counselor.
Discover which assessment is right for you by visiting our Assessments page.
